Tablesaw Dust Collection improved by a plywood board and scrap fittings
My dust extractor didn’t remove the dust from the sawing operation efficiently, partly before the overam tube meets the main port at a right angle. I made a couple changes to improve the dust collection drastically:
1) Added a piece of plywood between the mobile base to support the new hose hook up
2) Made a Y-fitting from scrap so the overarm tube is connected directly to the Dust Deputy (a hole was drilled in an elbow and the tube was inserted into the hole tightly, followed by some caulking work)
The improvement was instant as shown in the last 2nd pic.
The shop vac hose can also be unplugged from the tablesaw and used with the Domino joiner.
Here is a vid of the dust collection in action under the new set-up: http://youtu.be/ENSsJ8ZHnWY
