Wooden lamp and shade

I found an antique wooden lamp at a local antique store and instantly knew that I had to give it a home and replace the ugly yellowed lamp shade that was on it with one made of wood. I purchased a lamp shade frame and some Amboyna burl veneer online and got to work on it. I like the Amboyna veneer because it has a ton of tiny holes in it that the light shines through when the light is on. I did the edging with oak veneer. I have done a lot more touch up work since I took the pictures but figured I would go ahead and post.

First picture is of the entire lamp, second is when the lamp is on, third is a close up of the Amboyna.

Fun little project, thanks for looking.
