Storage Cabinet with Dovetail Drawers

This was my first attempt at dovetails. I used a Porter Cable dovetail jig. I like to experiment when I build my shop equipment and try different things to get experience. They are not perfect as I was using some cheap big box store white pine and did not flatten them. But overall, I am happy with the results.

The cabinet itself slides under my miter saw extension and gives me a place to store some of those scraps. It is also on casters and is the same height as most of my shop items, like my assembly table, so I can have extra table surface when I need it.

I think it came together pretty good. Shop fixtures are always good experience for new methods.

Jay,

You are ahead of me on this. Like your drill press table. LOL! I have years of collected pine. I planned to do prototype cabinet builds to see how they turn out. They will become my shop cabinets.

Looks like you’re putting the “fun” in functional.

Dovetailed drawers to store your dovetail jig. What could be more fitting than that?
Nice work.
