My Buddy Rockbuster sent me some Walnut Crotch and a few other bits and this Pen is made from part of the walnut.

Thanks Mate. Hope you like it.

There are 8 coats of med. CA and then polished with Tripoli and White Diamond.

C&C welcome as usual.

Bob.

Nice looking pen Bob, like the look of the walnut and your finish.

Great job! And I second that the finish looks great.

Great looking pen there Bob, Nice choice in woods, , I have used some of the other pieces of this Walnut Crotch that I have on some other projects, the wood is beautiful, but I find it hard to catch all of the beauty of it in a picture, one has to handle it and look closely at the tremendous grain. I think that your choice of finishes, CA do about the best at bringing out the beauty. Hope that all of the other pieces that I sent you come out equally as well.

Thanks so much for that wood Don,
The pen looks heaps better in the flesh than the photos.
I’m sure the other pieces will produce some gems.

I like the shape of this pen. Looks like it could write a lot of checks. Beautiful.

That Walnut Crotch sure does have some miles on it. All the way from Don’s place in Indiana to Bob’s place in Australia. Then worked on by a fine craftsman!
It’s got a nice history behind it and it sure does look top notch! It’s nice when two friends can help each other in this way, makes it worth so much more!
Nice work Bob and you too Don!
