Here is my finished flute, if you would like to check out the process please have a look at the blog for more pics and the storey behind making this lovely instrument.

It plays in the key of G and is finished with 6 coats of Scandinavian oil and multiple coats of Australian bees wax.

A huge amount of help was given to me by Charlie Mato-Toyela of Blue Bear Flutes and I thank him greatly.

Thanks for looking, please be kind to one another.

Cheers David

Very nice flute! I have made one, it was fun to build but is not nearly as pretty as yours.

Nice flute, I have seen quite a few over the years and that is a very nice build. BTW how did an Aussie get into American Indian flutes?

Thanks oltexasboy!

I have been to Tucson a couple of times and where I was staying there was a morning ceremony conducted each day by a Native American Indian and I just found the sound of the flute so great I thought I would give it a try. They are a fascinating instrument with the SAC section being separated from the finger holes.
It was a great and fun project for me, and it sounds nice too!
