Admiring all of your projects and talents for some time now, I thought I would share this as my first post. With a 2 week notice daughter asked for a bench to be signed by guests at her wedding.I made from cedar had left over. Routered the names freehanded , painted and used thompsons wood stain transparent water seal. I’m looking for advice on what would be best to seal names. Thanks for looking.

Be careful and do a test before finishing over those names. The solvent in some finishes will make the ink bleed. Probably a water-based finish would be best, if the signatures were all done with a sharpie.

That looks like a very comfortable bench. Nice work!
