Easter Baron

It’s been a while since I posted anything here. Mostly I’ve been working on residing our house and building my daughter’s porch swing. Saturday I took a break to make a special pen.
This morning I had a real nice phone call from a friend here who saw it elsewhere. For those who don’t venture to many other sites, I’ll repost it here.

First pic:

Second pic:

The pen is a Sterling Silver plated Baron dressed in mesquite, bloodwood, and maple using an Eagle-inlaid cross blank. The clip isn’t shown, it’s on the back side of the cap.

Thanks for peeking.

Very nice Gary. The inlay is great.

I have always thought that the pens you turners produce are always so luxurious compared to the Bic pens I am using. Nice work.

This is a great pen. Done any more work recently with this type of inlay?

Thanks Wayne,
I guess I’m a pretty infrequent visitor here.
I’ve got several more blanks prepared that I need to turn.
I’ve been busy traveling and working on some big projects, such as LOML’s long-overdue carport.
My to-do list has outgrown my available time.

That’s why it’s called a to-do list. Otherwise, it’d be called an all-done list. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it . . . unless my wife changes my mind.

I need to make some more of those.
One of the guys at work needed a gift for his brother who was graduating from College.
It’s sold. Only have one more completed one in stock.

Where have you been selling your pens at Gary? A lot of Lumberjocks have started turning pens, and I bet they would like to know where/how to sell their pens.

A nice looking pen by the way.

I’ve sold most of them to co-workers and a few out of a retail store. I’ve got another retailer who wants to carry the pens and a gallery that asked me to submit my work but I missed the quarterly deadliine.
I’m looking at web sales in the future as well.

The yin-yang pen I posted here was a commissioned sale that resulted from someone seeing this mesquite pen picture online. So, while I’m not selling off a website yet, I did sell one high end pen thru the web and email communication.

Really nice pen. That would be a great gift for my mother. I’ll have to make one. You did a great job!
