I put this jig together yesterday afternoon for making box joints. If you search box joint jig on YouTube and find Ed Stiles video he does a great job explaining it. Mine isn’t quite as pretty as his, but it works well. Now to mill up a little lumber and make a box or two!

Nice build. Looks like the joints are nice and tight. I built this same jig ( http://lumberjocks.com/projects/101866 ) and it works great. I also built the box jig from Woodgears (http://lumberjocks.com/projects/103852 ) and I prefer it. The reason being is I can put more wood in it at one time. Took longer to build though.
Enjoy

I’ve seen these. How hard was it to build? It looks a little intimidating to me.

It was pretty simple. I have very little woodworking experience and managed it. Toop a little figuring to get the lengths right so that I could joint a full 12 inch panel (just in case) but other than that it wasn’t too bad.

I built this same jig this past weekend. It works great…my dado blade doesn’t, so the bottoms are rough looking, but the fingers are very tight.

Have your say...
