ADIRONDACK CHAIR SET No picture No picture No picture No picture No picture

Just finished this adirondack chair set for our son and his wife. Made from cedar found at the local Menards. Found the plans on the PlansNow website. Every place where wood touches wood is glued, screwed, counter-bored and plugged. A really enjoyable project, with the added bonus that the shop smells great. Before starting, I made templates from mdf. This made duplication of pieces much easier, and I think I will be gifting a few more of these in the future.

Cool project. The footrests look like they would be comfortable.
Nice job.

Nice design and well made from the plans.

The one thing I did whin I made my pair, along with the settee. Was to mix up a batch of epoxy turn them all up side down, and soak the bottom of those legs with that epoxy. That wood there is the end grain, and in it natural state, it stands where water abides. Not my origional Idea, but the idea came from from a long ago back copy from where I got my plans, The American Woodworker.

Have your say...
