Well Christmas is a commin’ and I’m already stressed. But, I must press on and this year I’m thinking the folks at work will get this plant stand. This is the prototype, a practice piece that was claimed by the Mrs. (She generally grabs thems when they meet her needs)
The upright and feet are made of cherry and the top is walnut wrapped in a maple/walnut/maple sandwich. It stands about 22” tall and the top is 13.5” square. It was actually pretty straightforward to make and it’s finished with a few coats of satin wipe-on poly. I’ve got a half dozen more to make so I figured I better get started now.

Christmas and stress? I’ve never heard of such a thing! The border within a border within a border on the top came out really good. The recipients should be very pleased.

Beautiful, Russel!
Looks like you could set up some jigs and do an assembly line type production.
