Made this for a friend who was rebuilding an old Strat. guitar. I asked for the old pick guard and used part of it to make the diagonal ring insert in this rollerball pen. The woods are Thuya and Maranjimba from some Ebay scores.

I like to add personal things to my projects when possible. I made pens for the Church Pastor from Bethlehem Olive Wood and 200 year old oak from a pew that was taken out of the Church. Wish I had taken pics.

Thanks. The pick guard material turns like butter.

Great way to add the personal touch. I am working with a guy that rebuilds boats and I am trying to get him on board with “gifting” a set of pens with each boat he finishes for his clients.
The items always mean more to the person if it has a cool story too!

When I was actively trying to sell my pens, I tried to find situations where people used pens and that a nice pen could be part of the ceremony or situation. I found that if I had good success if I found a mortgage loan writer that was into marketing and trying to get referrals. They would call me and let me know they were preparing for a few closings and I would swing buy and sell some pens. They would offer them up at the closing for signing the docs, and then he would tell them to keep the pen and tell people to use them for their loans.

Commercial mortgage lenders are very good, as the money is usually larger and a $30-$50 pen is easy for them to spend.
