This piece we made from reclaimed Douglas Fir. It has 4-3/4” wide x 1” thick slats under the mattress. It has our weathered texture with distressed black & blue worn finish with our water borne agualenta top coat. It has more than adequate 1-1/2” rope for support & added character. The bed uses all mortise & tenon with no metal fasteners.

Looks sturdy and comfortable! I’ll need a dozen yards of mosquito netting to go with this. Sqeeters LOVE me!

@KelvinGrove Yes! It is all Mortise & Tenon ;)
