A year and a half or so ago I completed a built-in bookcase and I’ve finally gotten around to completing the companion piece. A large cherry 12 drawer chest with a small keepsake box on the top. Its constructed of cherry with poplar as a secondary wood with some funky maple for the keepsake box drawer fronts and wenge accents. Its not as red in reality as the pictures show – the wood is from the same tree as the bookcase so eventually, I expect the chest to mellow and even out with the bookcase tone-wise.

Very nice. The handles are elegant and really set the tone for the rest of the piece.

This is beautiful I mourn the day that you guys move and leave it behind then the next couple decides to paint it white so it “matches.”

Have your say...
