At the beginning this cart was only intended to fill the open corner between the extension wing and the outfeed of my table saw. Casters would allow to use it temporarily as a table at some other place.

But then I decided it might come in handy to be able to put some machinery on it as well. Since a fixed table top would for example not allow to put my router table on it, I made the table top just an option which slides into the base frame.

The cart itself is the first project made with my box joint jig. The frame is made from 50mm thick soft wood – and this is almost the limit for this jig. Raising the blade even more for a thicker frame threatens to cut the jig in half :-)
