Oak Jewelry Box

Here is a simple jewelry box I built using some 1/2” oak. Rough dimensions are 5”x10”x4-1/2” high. The bottom of the interior is covered with red felt. Used the Incra Ibox jig for the table saw for the finger/box joints.

Box is finished with a linseed oil. Think it really brought out the beauty of the oak :)

Hi Justin very nice box I took your design and made some adjustments, I used oak and poplar.. But i love your design and decided that it would be a cool project to do since I never have done a box joint before…

Nice job Ed and nice to see that you have ventured into domestic hardwoods. Beware, your days with construction grade softwoods are numbered!

Nice box Ed, did a great job on it. When I made the oak one I made one completely out of poplar as well. Was more of a jewelry box though.

Have your say...
