This is a 12” plate made from Norfolk Pine. The piece was originally waste from future bowl. I was afraid the knots and pith coming through the thin edge of a bowl might no hold. (To alter a well used phrase)... “One project’s trash is another project’s treasure”.

Never turned any NP, the knots certainly add a real nice feature to the end result.
Will the knots hold firm or possibly shrink some time in the future?

Pete, the knots should hold. The wood sat in a plastic bag for 6-8 months but it still dried considerably. I filled a couple of open areas with CA glue. Thanks for asking.
