I’ve been on a little parquetry bender lately. I know, I know, there’s probably a 12 step program out there somewhere that would help me kick the habit, but I haven’t hit rock bottom yet and I’m still enjoying the ride. First I made these parquetry thresholds for a client and that got me inspired to build some furniture with the same pattern. I wrote an article on my Furniture Blog about how I built this desk if you want to check it out.

Beautifully designed and executed! It really is quite an extraordinary piece with the beautiful woods used. Very nicely done.

beautiful and nice work! I have just finished similar parquetry designs and i must say this type of work is pretty tough to get everything lined up and is very time consuming, but very rewarding in the end. Thanks for sharing.
