Patio bench from leftover cedar

I recently built a bunch of cedar planters in my backyard and had some leftover cedar that was just perfect for patio bench. The design is nothing new and I believe has been posting on LB before – slight curves on the side aprons to give a more comfortable seating area as the thin slats are laid down. I screwed down the slats, glued in some maple plugs, and then sprayed the whole thing with a couple coats of satin finish. The bench is comfortable for me (6’4”), but feels too high for most people, so I will probably trim a couple inches off the legs.

I am a huge fan of cedar and really like this. Gives me some ideas. Thanks.
