I made this for a family member. It has space for both sand and water so children can play and interact with the two at the same time. It can be easily moved around the garden so it can be kept out of the way when not in use. It has two cup hlderos and a hole for a paradoll to keep the sun of them, or the rain in the UK.

It is made from 2×4’s and is basically glued and screwed together. I figured there was no need for any other complicated joinery it would be plenty strong enough. I also though that once the chldren grow out of using it, it could be used as either a BBQ Table or even a planter.

I have a video on my YouTube channel of me making this project if you would like to have a look.

Gives me a great idea to modify my next grilling table “Beer” “BBQ Sauce” in place of sand and water.

Nice Work!!

Glad it gave you some inspiration. You may want to make it bigger if you are using Beer and BBQ Sauce instead of Sand and Water lol.

Have your say...
