My Son wanted a heavy duty table. 3” red-oak top and scrap walnut, finished in poly.

Thanks Russell. I’m about 200 miles up river from Cairo. I live across the River from Hannibal, Mo, on the IL side. Mark Twain, Huckleberry Finn and all that stuff. My toes sore from fishin with a string. LOL

It’s definitely heavy duty and probably fairly heavy too. Walnut definitely added a nice accent to it. What are the dimensions?

Nice job sir.

That’s a stocky table! The walnut accents are very nice!

Very substantial—certainly hope that meets your son’s definition of heavy duty. Nicely done.

I guess you can call it heavy duty. More like super heavy duty and I would guess more on the heavy side.

Very nice job.

Thanks everyone. Monte, the table is 38” x 18” x 16.5” H. I had that 3” stuff and I guess I was looking for a project to use it on. That or firewood.

Ha, when I saw the little project picture I thought, ‘that is an ugly dining table.’ But once I clicked and realized it was a coffee table I really like it. Nice and beefy.
