Good way to use one’s left-over scaps, I am notorious when I start a new project, I use a full length board instead of using all the short boards which are gathering dust in my woodpile.

My scrap wood pile was getting out of hand so I decided to round them up and make a chest out of them. There is hard maple, silver maple, Oregon big leaf maple, sugar maple and several other woods that kind of looked maple-ish, and some walnut.

Boise’s Basque are having their annual Wine Festival and I decided to donate this chest to them with a couple of bottles of wine inside.
