I made this blanket chest for a wedding gift to my daughter a few years ago. Just got around to taking pictures during a recent visit. Peter Turner design from Fine Woodworking #203. Sapele and Oak plywood. Sliding drawer from Spanish Cedar. This was my first attempt at chip carving and glad it was in the soft cedar!
Finished with danish oil then paste wax. It was a fun project and good scale details in the plan.

Humm, a couple of comments worth documenting ,
1. Excellent work on the blankt Chest, I am impressed with the carving work its a credit to you.
2. As the chest is now 2 YO I would have to say your daughter is very appreciative of it as its well refelected in the way it has been looked after.

Thanks for the kind comments. Only issue is that I’ve now set a precedent that my other 2 kids will expect when they reach the same milestone!
