My little table started it’s journey across the ocean today :)

20” x 20” x 29” H.

Quite a long process, I was originally contacted by an Interior Design firm from Winnipeg who wanted a version of a piece featured in Fine Woodwork Magazine (1999).

Worked through the design with them and then with the governments Interior Decorators before submitting a quote. Also went through the process of being issued a vendor number and setting up direct payments.

Three months of communications before I received a purchase order and the delivery date was looming :)

The top material is Canadian Birch and the base is Ontario Walnut. Top is oiled and sprayed with a lightly tinted lacquer. Bottom is sprayed with a non grain raising alcohol stain and clear lacquer as per Interior Designers requirements.

A short video of oiling the bottom of the top…

And another showing how I match the grain on the rails..

Cheers, Don

A wonderful piece. I’d take one myself for my Canadian House. I love the design.
