Very nice. This just screams…....”use me!” Love the grain on this cherry too. You did it justice for sure.

I’ve had a request to do a bowl like this and have been searching for a year to find a large enough blank in cherry but to no avail. The hunt continues.
Anyone have a line on sourcing some cherry large enough to replicate this?

Thank you folks. Bonj, for my turning I’ve always just used wood people gave me, or wood from storm and ice damaged trees. This piece came from a cherry tree that was mostly dead. Couldn’t discern the reason, no bug damage. Perhaps a lightning strike.
