Recently needed an assist in temporarily standing all day so I had some extra material from some other projects to make a walking stick. I actually wanted to turn this on a lathe, but it was too long so I rounded over the edges with a router. The main body and handle is Oak. Inlay-ed the length of the front and back of the body with bubinga. The diamonds are walnut. The handle is attached to the shaft with a lag bolt and glue with a penny covering the hole . It has turned out to be a sturdy walking stick

Nice work and very interesting too. I make and use ‘walking sticks’ too, but usually just from natural crooks. But I have found through experience you need to put your phone number on them somewhere. I have recovered mine several times after mindlessly leaving it somewhere.

Nicely made and beautiful. Put a couple more legs on it and I could use it too.
