This is a 10-1/4” turned maple plate. The design is burned into the plate. I used a semi gloss laquer and wish I’d had time to find a flat sheen. This is the second plate I’ve made in this style. You can see the first on the turning forum. A gift for my mom. There’s also a work in progress pic.

Your mom is going to love it! Really niece effect with the burning.

Outstanding! Beautiful work. Your burning really adds to the turning.

Moms always get the best and this is for sure one of the best! Great design both the turning and the burning!

I’m sorry that I have not responded sooner, but I have been out of town for the past week. Thank you all for your kind words. The plate was appreciated and set in a prominent place.
