I have a bunch of scrap pieces of wood lying around the shop and i never have the heart to throw them away. As u was waiting for glue to set up on another project i had nothing else to do but still wanted to work on stuff, so i decided to go in my tiny scrap bucket and build myself a little wooden figure. He was very easy to build i just drilled shallow holes and used dowels to make the arms neck and legs and just glued everything together using super glue. I originally was not going to put a face on him but it honestly looked a little creepy so i took a sharpie pen and drew on eyes and a smiley face. I wanted to name him Eli but my fiance wanted to name him Zeke. We compromised and figured out a name that kind of combined both names and came up with Ezekiel. He is now my little shop buddy

Very cute. About 16 years ago I made some figures similar to this from birch branches for the grandkids. I left the bark on them. I made one with a birch bicycle. I think they still have them. I made them with a jackknife and drilled the holes with a awl that was part of the knife. Lots of fun!

Nice work. You might just start a new fad for woodworkers.

Now who says you can’t use all those little tiny scraps of wood for anything. If you have Kids around you better keep a close eye on him or he might disapear.

Thank you everyone I plan on making more of them out of various scraps I find in the shop once I clean up and find them lol
