In my quest to create an Ikea free home the horrible white painted Ikea cupboards and drawers were highest on my hit list. The had to go. I couldn’t stand them anymore !
The replacements I built with birch veneered MDF carcases and solid birch faceframes with mitred beadings. The drawers are constructed with half-blind dovetails and slide on traditional runners and kickers (oak) whilst the computer shelf slides on modern drawer runners and is a torsion box construction with solid core skinned in 6mm veneered MDF. All the doors were routed using a cope and stick set and a large panel raiser.
I stained the carcases with a light oak stain that better matched the “real” birch then finished everything with 3 coats of Danish oil followed by wax buffed to a high gloss sheen.
The door/drawer knobs are solid bronze and the door hinges are brass (from Brusso).

Very nice, I’ve been commissioned to build something similar. You have some great ideas built in to that.

Ikea furniture is ok, if you don’t touch it, open the drawers, doors etc., etc., etc.
