Odd- Shaped Corner Desk

I made this Desk to fit snugly in a small room for my folks. The two requirements were “access to the light switch next to door and run length of the windows”. Although this combination made the over all proportions seem a bit odd, it seems to work well for them and the room.

This desk was made from locally quarter sawn oak and features hanging file draws and flat panel doors. After the last photo was taken I added some bronze hardware that really dressed it up, but forgot to take photo. Enjoy

That’s not “odd”, it’s custom, it’s beautiful and I’m sure they love it.

I like it. The function and placement is perfect and you finished the wood beautifully.

I like it. My wife tells me an executive desk and file cabinet are on the top of my wood shop list. Right after my current project. I might take some inspiration from this one.
