Camping Spoon

Due to various non-native pests, Ontario Parks does not allow people to bring in their own firewood. The firewood for sale consists of a more or less dry smorgasbord of local hard and softwoods. For the last couple of years I have rescued a piece here or there from impending doom and practiced my open-air spoon carving skills.

This one is made of spalted birch, unsanded (I understand that’s “traditional”) and finished with one coat of olive oil from the camp kitchen.

Thanks for looking.

Great lookin spoon. Not a lot of things are better then the outdoors with a carving knife in hand and a nice piece of wood!
