I made a backsplash for my computer desk. It is mounted on a french cleat which allows for easy removal if needed. I made this so I could mount my monitor to the wall, while hiding wires. So, I needed a way to do that without cutting chunks out of the wall. The Bolts up top are for both show, and they hold the french cleat to the backsplash. It is made out of 1/2” MDF. There is a ‘T’ on the reverse that I didn’t take a picture of. The french cleat, and a vertical board that the monitor is mounted to as I wasn’t sure the MDF would hold the weight of a monitor without tearing out.

Simple, yet effective. Since making it my desk has been kept clean, and I can work much more comfortably than the stand allowed me to.

Thanks. It worked out as well as I planned. I love it. Quick and effective while allowing me to completely conceal wires.
