This is a TV stand I made out of red oak that I cut and had milled. The lumber sat in my shop for about a year. This is the first project I have built in my new shop and really the first decent project I have ever completed by myself. I designed it myself, although I’m sure I was influenced by a lot of things I’ve seen. The pictures in the doors are printed on 1/8 inch steel. I thought that would be more interesting than raised panels. (and easier) It is 19”D X 31”T X 65”W. The TV is a 50” and the pictures are 16X20, for perspective.
I had very little experience and basically no idea what I was doing when I started this. I didn’t even sketch out a plan until I was part way through, so please go easy on me. After finishing this project I am much more confident in my shop. I have started the next project and it is definitely going faster, easier, and better.
