A wooden Chakram made from maple and mercilessly hurled in the oncoming enemy hordes…

The famous death circle of the Sikhs, and also wielded by Xena Warrior Princess in the late 1990’s. Mine is made from maple and finished boiled linseed oil for a easy to renew finish.

If you round the edge over it then becomes a wooden AerobieĀ®! It actually flew quite nicely!

Hey! I was a teenage boy in the late 1990’s! (Which is why I’m looking at your project now.) Nice job! Very cool! Just a question for my own learning’s sake: If you made another one, would you thickness the board before you went to turn it? Why or why not?

How many of you remember Odd Job from the ”Goldfinger” movie? He had one of these in his HAT!

Kyle Hooks-

I actually liked this process. It was easy enough but you’re right it might be simpler to start with the correct thickness and not worry about that plunging parting cut!

JoeinGa-
Right! It’s was totally a Chakram! He was a great villain!

The Chakram is very dull now. It is only an AerobieĀ® at this point! :)
