"walnut" rattlesnake necklace

The rattles are inserted into the tiny walnut holder and a leather string goes through the top of the walnut. Took me 20 minutes longer than it should have to shape the walnut piece as it got away from me as I was using the belt sander. Kicked it out into the front of the shop…among woodscraps and grass. LOL The clasp is actually a 3/8” dowel that I used a forstner bit to fashion the 2 pieces. Looks fragile but is actually only delicate. Am entering it in the local fair here. The rattles came from a friend and the snake was about 5’. Thanks for the looks and comments.

Very cool. But I really hate snakes.

Really like that clasp idea! Snakes are definitely not on my most liked list.
