The customer is decorating his home with items from his business. He had a metal plate of his company’s logo and wanted it displayed in his kitchen. The metal plate is 1/8th stainless with swirls were added by the client for some reason. The wood he chose is fumed Bees Wing figured Eucalyptus veneer. I mounted it on 1/2 inch ply with an adhesive of Titebond II. The plate is raised off the surface with 1/2 inch standoffs.

The nice thing about this project it was quick. 3 1/2 hours from start to satin lacquer finish. The customer liked the wash board texture of the veneer so I didn’t have flatten the sheets at all or sand much.

We need to get together for a cup of coffee! I’m in PRP now, used to be in Crescent Hill.
