Here’s another plate that I just finished. It’s about 7” in diameter and about 1/4” thick at it’s thickess. It’s finished with EEE Cream and Shellawax.
Although the photo doesn’t show it off that well, the wood used is Fiddleback Maple. It’s gets a pretty cool wave action going when you rock it in the sunlight.
As I understand it, Fiddleback is sometimes called Curly though the bands or ripples are closer together on Fiddleback.
Anyway, a fun project! Thanks for looking!

Very nice looking little dish well done very nice turning.I myself am an avid turner but at the monment am caught up with penmaking on my midi Delta lathe everyone wants a pen and pencil set lol gret work kindest regards Alistair
