Project Information

My father-in-laws 75th birthday was this past weekend so I made him a little desk sign. He is a serious Hamm radio guy, so I wanted to do something that tied into that. What I didn't get a shot of is a little pocket behind his name plaque to hold his QSL cards. The little morse key I made out of some brass I have in the shop and the rest is all Maple.

Thanks Gentlemen, I had a fun time doing it. The morse key was so easy to build that I now want to build him a working one, a little more stylized now that I see how simple a device it is.

He has multiple types, but I have visions of one I would really enjoy building for him based on the classic design.

This one is about 3" long overall, (forgot to measure again…......) On some things I just look at the marks on the ruler and never look at the numbers.

Typical measurement for me would be; Thumb marker + 1/4, and a ding. (ding=1/16th)

Both parents were Hams. Your idea was really great. Mine would have appreciated the gift. (W1OTI & W1OTJ and my father W1DDY) Long time ago.
