Finally got 2 of the 3 Jewelry Boxes done. These 2 are for girls the 3rd one is a men’s valet. These are made of Bird’s Eye Maple & Mahogany with mahogany dovetail splines, These have 4 little compartments 1 medium compartment for rings, a large compartment, and a large sliding compartment on top. They are lined with blue velvet.

This is really nice! I’m currently making one too. I’m doing it in the style of the Earth Kingdom from the animated show Avatar: The lasts Air bender.

Where did you get the felt from for the bottoms?

I went to Joanne Fabrics. I got a half yard for $3.00 I have made five jewelry boxes with it.

It’s been a productive weekend, I finished the men’s valet! Same style as the jewelry boxes except this has 4 watch compartments. This is made with birds eye maple and Peruvian walnut, with walnut dovetail splines. The inside is finished with blue velvet, and the watch compartments comes complete with custom watch pillows.
