Kind of a sad story behind this one: A friend had a miscarriage and had chosen the hedgehog as the baby’s spiritual animal. I am not entirely sure of what that means exactly, but I hope this will bring a smile to her face.

Doug, is your friend Native American? It is sad but what you have done is cute. The back is impressive. Is it all by hand and what is the wood you are using?

Danoaz: it was all hand carved using basswood.
