Before moving to Colorado, I lived in the sticks, in Hutto, Tx. My wife wanted a flock of chickens for eggs, so I built her a coop. It’s made of pine 2×6s and OSB. The front flips up for cleaning and feeding. The top is painted with behr exterior paint, and the frame is stained. The underside is also enclosed with chicken wire. It is heavy as can be, but it works quite well.
