A simple bedhead made of 12mm ply with a surround of cypress pine. The blocks are made from 12 different timbers, finished in danish oil. I guess the challenge is to name all the types!!

The different depths of timber provide an interesting three dimensional effect. Simple to make, but great effect. The bedhead is attached to the wall with screws and raw plugs – the blocks covering the screw heads are attached with double sided tape to allow easy removal.

Very cool! I am planning to make a backsplash like that on my kitchen wall, hope it turns out as nice!
