Hey everyone, I’m new to lumber jocks, so this is my first post…
I made these cutting boards maybe a year ago… it was my first try at using hardwoods, let alone a cutting board. At the time, i only had a chop saw and a belt sander. (although since i graduated high school and have a job, i now have a full shop.)
I realize that the first one is not really exact.. i hadn’t gotten the dimensions just right for the correct look yet. It’s been hit and miss.
the first is made with bubinga and maple, the grouping of 3 are made with a combination of padauk, purpleheart, and red oak. The 3rd board is made with narra and maple.

Very eye catching design! The illusions of the first cutting board are great.

What the hell is going on here my eyes I can’t see staight. Oh it the way you made the board. Do you look at this and fall into a trance. It must have been diffcult to finish not knowing where the end was.
How do you LJ’s think up this stuff. Than make it.
Now that’s what I call eye popping….

Very nice designs! The optical illusions are quite mezmerizing. I like the simplicity and the intricacy of the designs.
