In Need of an Upgrade

One day I needed a couple of saw hooks to get a little job done.

So I quickly threw together what you see in the first box/pic. Those suckers lasted 4 years and only recently demanded an upgrade.

The new hooks are deeper – wide – & work together to better handle long stock.

I used some Rock Maple for the hook, the Miter Block and Sand/Plane Stop

the board is 3/4 ply.

I bolted the Miter blocks down in case I needed to one day replace one without scraping the whole board.

Those are some beefy saw hooks.
Can I ask why not MDO?

Anthony, then your choice of material was excellent!
