My boys decided that they liked the Wall-e movie recently and so naturally they wanted the toys shortly afterwards. I figured it might be fun to make them each a Wall-e which they “helped” with (at the start). They are made of scrap pine I had in my bin. Nothing fancy, just a couple of rabbets to make the body boxes, the shoulders and wrists were done with wood toy axles so they have some mobility, also the wheels on the treads roll, albeit not on anything smooth, just on a carpet.
The head was made with a dowel up through the body glues into the noggin. I had to chisel a couple of flats above and below the to body plate and made some keys to glue into them so that the head could swivel.
A coat of acrylic paint and three coats of poly and voila! Done.

Thanks for checking it out!

Nice job making them. The boys will love them.
