A friend from asked me to volunteer some of my time to make this sign for a Children’s Shelter. The whole thing is routed, carved and burned.

Nice sign. The wood burning is a nice touch. That really is a lot of work with only the 1/4” bit and as you noted in your lessons learned, you need a smaller and larger size straight bit. I have a 1/8” and a 1/2” bit as well as the 1/4” and they really make a difference.

Thanks Dale. I was already having issues spending the money on a semi expensive router bit for a donated project.. I really didn’t want to spend the large amount of money on a set and I wasn’t going to buy crappy bits because odds are I will use them more than a few times.
