Beautiful and it’s especially nice that the base goes so well with the natural edged top. Excellent work.

Excellent work. The finish looks great! Really like the natural edge carries through/around the entire top. Keep the inspiration coming!!!

Thank you. I tried to make them coexist. I like simple geometric bases with slabs too, but I also really like freeform shaping wood. So I made it rectilinear first then took the carving wheels to it.

Love this …..LOVE it! You can just about fall into that grain in the 3rd photo. Like how you shaped the base and the inlays too. Just a beautiful piece of work and craftsmanship.

A very nice work of artistic merit.I will shamelessly steal your idea and make a decidedly inferior effort compared to yours LOL but still I should at least try.So very nice work and I wish you well for the future. kindest regards Alistair

Thanks guys. The edge was done with india ink and a blowtorch.
