Hand Carved Child’s Hand Holding a Butterfly. I carved this out of butternut (hand) and curly maple (butterfly) with hand gouges. It was challenging, but fun and I think I can get the next butterfly even thinner. Both are sealed in a beeswax finish. The hand measures about 5 inches by a little less than 3 inches in width. It can be seen at my Etsy store. Thanks for checking it out.

Nicely done! Stick with the hardwoods, much more difficult than basswood!
