That is the most lively burl I've ever seen and it is very well showcased here. I think you must have done an excellent job on the finish too to get so much grain detail out of those panels.

Thanks, fellas. The maple burl is a veneer from Certainly Wood. It's finished with boiled linseed oil, with lacquer on top.

Beautiful in all aspects - design, craftsmanship, wood contrast, & especially the burl panels. Fantastic.

Thanks for all of the kind words! Check out my class on Doors for Cabinetry and Fine Furniture at Craftsy to see how I make my doors. Use this link for $10 off the sale price if you would like to take the class. It's aimed at intermediate woodworkers and shows the process of designing, building, and hanging doors on a couple different cabinets.

That is a beautiful design and cabinet and a great wood combination. It just jumps right out at you. It will be the focal point of the room and a wonderful eye catcher.

I really like all the detail work like the dovetails in the top, the crown moulding, the custom door pull, and the veneer and finish is extremely well executed.

Besides, who would not want to look at a beautiful piece of woodwork, than a flat screen monitor, when not in use?

Thanks for posting your work for us.

Super looking cabinet.
You really popped the grain on that maple burl.
How long after appying the BLO did you wait to top coat?

I have always used "witches brew", but I dont get that kind of pop.

Thanks for posting.
