Not my first project, but the first one that I was able to document fairly well and feel proud enough of the final product to share. I used a lot of idea from this site in the design so this is me giving something back! Frame is cheap-o “Big-box store” pine, the top is same quality plywood covered with felt. Nothing fancy here, but the intent was to build something sturdy enough to withstand several years of abuse but on a budget. The top is removable and eventually will look to have several other tops available depending on the activity.

I can see the train table giving years of pleasure, I’m sure the young ones are pleased.

Wonderful platform for a lucky child.
Nice job. I’m tempted to try one for my current foster child.
