This is my Grease Box Owners Club entry. I used the basic design that Roy Underhill used, but I added magnets to keep the pieces in place in case they loosen up. My grease box is made from a piece of road kill (no idea what wood), and is finished with oil and wax.

One of the most used tools in my shop is my greasebox. Love this version.

mafe’s: The grease box story

If you are a hand tool woodworker, you use a grease box to hold grease/wax for lubrication and rust prevention. Or you could put lip balm or Vaseline in it.

I need to make one of these, still using a greasy oily rag ( a woobie) after using my tools!

Wonderful grease box!
Nice detail with the magnet.
Did you make the road kill your self? Smiles.
May it serve you well.
Best thoughts,

Great job. One of these is on my shop list. :-)
